NYRP TreeLC WORKSHOPS - Sat, Apr. 16, 201: 2pm-4pm
Be a Steward: NYRP TreeLC Workshops
One million new trees are finding their homes in New York City through MillionTreesNYC. Join Just Food trainer, Eric Thomann, to learn how you can care for street trees that
live in your garden and neighborhood in these two-hour, hands-on workshops.
A street tree is one of the hardest working plants in the New York City ecosystem. Not only do they provide us with shade, oxygen, and peace of mind, street trees also
help reduce the rates of asthma, reduce rainwater runoff and increase property values.
Come and learn the simple techniques to help a street tree survive in a harsh urban environment. Leave with the practical knowledge to tend to our street trees and a set of
hand tools to help equip you to be a steward to Mother Earth.
Rain or shine, all workshops are open to the public and no pre-registration is required. For more information, contact NYRP's Public Event Manager, Jordan Dyniewski at 212.333.2552 or jdyniewski@nyrp.org.
