About Miss Maggie
So where does our garden name come from? It comes from Miss Maggie of course! Miss Maggie hasbeen involved in the garden and caring for the space long before the garden was reopened in 2002 with NYRP. That we have this space at all is in no small part due to Miss Maggie's perseverance.
Sadly, Miss Maggie passed away in 2016 and we still miss her deeply. We honor her memory by trying to maintain the garden she loved so much.
Here are just a few articles that have been written about miss Maggie and the garden.
